Wednesday Double's League starting Wednesday, 3-25-15

Now that the snow is melting and the days are longer players are eager to start playing Wednesday Doubles this week. 

They will choose random partners at 5 pm. If you are running late, please call or text (207-229-9825) so that we will put a mini in the bag for you. Once the days get longer, we will move the start time to 5:30.

Cost is $11 ($5 green fee, $5 cash payout to the top 1/3 teams, and $1 for the Ace Pot). The Ace Pot carry over is $179 to start the season!

There is no minimum  or maximum number of days you must play. Just come when you can. Hope to see you on Wednesday evenings!

Skittle Season has come to Woodland Valley

For those unfamiliar with this term, it is when the snow starts to melt and discs start randomly popping up out of the snow. It is a wonderful time of year as we reunite players with their lost discs.

Unfortunately, we presently have over 500 found discs on the shelves and it is becoming a problem.  I would like your help with this by:

At the bottom of this home page is a list of every disc we have. They are divided into the list  of    players I contacted about the discs (and possibly forgot they are here) and those I have never  been able to locate- either  the tel.# changed, not on facebook, I don't have an e mail for, or they have no name or a nickname. Please take some time and go through the lists and contact anyone you might know so that they can come get their discs!

1. You or a friend (If you let me know someone is picking up your disc) may come pick it up.

2. You can send me a self addressed and stamped mailer and I'll get it right back to you.

3. You can contact me and let me know you will be here later this summer and I will put them        aside.

If the discs are still here at the end of April, we will sell them, with all the money going to a yet to be determined charity, I don't like doing this, but it is necessary. I prefer if you will help me reunite  you and your discs. Many of them are brand new!

Upcoming Tournaments

For all of our tournaments, the sign in time ends at 9:30. The page called Events has more details for each of the tournaments.

The Black Fly Doubles will be held on Sunday, May 3rd. Sign in ends by 9:30. It is a bring your own partner event and will be held on the Black Bear for the first round, and the Grizzly for the second round.

On Sunday, June 7th, we will hold our annual Memory Bowl Doubles tournament to raise money for Alzheimer Disease Research, in memory of my mom.

Saturday, July 11th is the Battle of the Bears Singles tournament. This is our MPT event.

Sunday, July 12th is the women only PDGA event.

Sunday, August 9th  Ace Race

Sunday, August 23rd Leo P. Roy Memorial Doubles. This is our annual tournament to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy Research.

We've always strived to make the experience of interacting with Woodland Valley simpler through the use of technology this includes the use of Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and the tablets in the club house. We've found that over the past year, more of our customers are interacting with our website via their mobile devices, to support this, we've launched a new version of the website which includes better support for mobile devices as well as better integration with social networks to ensure the information you receive from us through any channel is consistent and accessible.
